"The proliferation of digital technologies in the last two decades has made great contribution to the economy, societal well-being and effective governance of a nation."
Tamilnadu is the first state in the country to End-to-End digitize the Public Distribution System from Procuring to Delivering of Commodities to Public & We @ OASYS feel honoured to execute this Prestigious Project of Govt.of Tamilnadu in a Quickest Turnaround Time.
Digitization creates job opportunities, raises living standard of general public, fosters development, increases GDP and marks the economic rise of the nation. Most developed countries have established strong sector governance. Singapore, for example, has surged its digitization plan and grew its ICT sector by 13.6 Percent between 2006 and 2008, due in part to its robust governance. Developed countries have emphasized ICT usage rather than just access.
Such a complex undertaking towards building a digitized nation in India is certainly possible by combining collaborative effort of India’s rich talents, deeper understanding of data flow and network architecture of the system, Financial Calibre, Skilled Human Capital, Systematic Planning, and in a nutshell” Got a Passion for Digital India Vision”. We at OASYS have all that!
OASYS is directly supporting Government for its digital initiatives for over a decade now.
We’re the first in the nation to develop an ePDS – A Simple Interface (POS) for a Complex Architecture to digitize Public Distribution System for whole of the state which stands competent to any other digital PDS system in the world.
Tamilnadu Civil Supplier & Consumer Protection Department decided to digitize their transactions of goods & cash conducted through 35,000 Fair Price Shops (FPS) in the state [few in pipeline] benefitting nearly 1.98 crore families in the state of Tamilnadu operating in compliance with National Food Security Act 2013, and this proposal of digitizing the system is built as expected to go in lieu with manual entries & possess a central repository for Government to monitor any day transactions and availability of commodities on a real time routine
Today, Up & Running POS live across 32 Districts and 35,000 FPS Delivers Most Improved, Timely & Transparent PDS Benefitting Government & Citizens Equally!
A robust database processing Big Data of 20 Million beneficiaries with an average 100 transactions/sec as on date, Undoubtedly is scalable to accommodate growing number of beneficiaries on-the-go.
In addition, the POS as well as GPS based system track the details of commodities moving from godown to shops and gives real-time update on the quantity of stock received and delayed in transit. The big step”e-Administration” by the Government of Tamilnadu addresses all hassles in commodity distribution and achieves well regulated FPS. The highly scalable POS system accommodates all future FPS setup currently in construction as they plan to set up FPS in a way that people do not walk more than 1.5 KM to buy ration goods.
On an overall picture, this digitization offers
At OASYS, We closely work with the Government, Enterprises and Organizations to redefine the entire experience of operations by creating digital dashboards connected to an automated backend systems that allow them not only see where the process is heading to but also the business intelligence built into the system helps better decision making on the process improvement for their consumers and customers.
This implemented and up running PDS solution is equipped to cater to any future scalability scope such as additional requirement of interfacing other devices and services such as smart card, electronic weighing scale, POS, QR code reader, QR code sticker, etc.
Under the Right of Information Act 2005, all beneficiaries of the state will receive SMS notification on the quantity of products they bought, sale prices and products to be purchased instantly right on their mobile phones. Paperless receipts save our environment and also efficient citizen services!
Currently we are executing an End-to-End Computerization of Tamilnadu PDS project to CS&CP, Government of Tamilnadu, which has the following scope:
This digitization of PDS weed out Bogus Cards and benefit the genuine subsidiaries and as well address the leakage and diversion in the movement of foodgrains.
